Fire Alarm System Fundamentals per NFPA 72 & Fire Alarm/Emergency Communication Systems

4 Hours

We will study the 2013 edition of the National Fire Alarm and Signaling
Code chapters that covers the requirements for the installation and performance
of fire alarm and emergency communications systems for in-building fire
emergency and voice/alarm communications systems and other communications
systems. This course focuses on those systems where the design includes off-site
communication and local alarm communicators as well as use of speakers, bells,
strobes and sirens per NFPA 72.

Course Objective:
The qualified individual will understand that a properly planned emergency
communications system can prevent panic and even save lives during a fire
emergency. Understanding and applying a correctly installed system by code can
be tailored to meet the needs of each individual end user.
